The first step is to create a job using the create new job button on the jobs tab of your dashboard.
Use this section to set up your job title and job description, these will be visible to applicants when applying to your job.
This section is for general questions you want to ask candidates that do not need to be evaluated by AI. For example, "What timezone are you in?" or "Do you need visa sponsorship?".
Note that contact information fields are already included, and do not need to be added again. (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Phone Number)
This section is the bread and butter of Jobzumi—and what makes the platform unique.
This step is the cornerstone of the Jobzumi process, as the entire power of the platform hinges on how well you write your evaluation instructions. The quality of these instructions directly determines the effectiveness of your candidate screening process.
Click on "Add Question" to create a new question.
In the "Question Text" field, enter the question you want candidates to answer. Make it clear and specific to get the most relevant responses.
In the "Evaluation Instructions" field, provide guidelines on how to assess the answers to this question.
The effectiveness of Jobzumi largely depends on the quality of your evaluation instructions. The AI follows these instructions precisely, so it's crucial to be detailed and specific.
Important: We strongly recommend reading our separate guide on "How to Write Effective Evaluation Instructions" before proceeding. This document provides essential insights on crafting instructions that will yield the most accurate and useful results.
Remember:
The AI will only evaluate based on what you specify in the instructions.
If you want to assess factors like grammar, writing style, or specific technical knowledge, you must explicitly mention these in your instructions.
The Resume Evaluation feature is a powerful tool in the Jobzumi platform that allows you to automatically assess candidates' resumes based on specific criteria. This feature complements the Discovery Questions by focusing on the candidate's experience and background as presented in their resume.
While Discovery Questions help you assess a candidate's skills and thought processes, Resume Evaluation allows you to:
Quickly screen candidates based on essential qualifications
Ensure candidates meet minimum experience requirements
Identify key skills or achievements relevant to the position
To set up Resume Evaluation:
In the "Resume Evaluation" section, you'll see a text field for entering evaluation instructions.
This is where you'll specify the criteria the AI should use when reviewing resumes.
The power of the Resume Evaluation feature, like all of Jobzumi, lies in the quality and specificity of your instructions. Here are some tips:
Be Clear and Specific: Instead of vague statements, use precise requirements. For example:
"The candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in digital marketing."
"Look for experience with specific tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Ads Manager."
Prioritize Key Requirements: List the most important qualifications first.
Include Both Hard and Soft Skills: While experience is crucial, don't forget to mention important soft skills if they can be inferred from the resume.
Specify Preferred Qualifications: Differentiate between must-have and nice-to-have qualifications.
Consider Education Requirements: If relevant, mention specific degree requirements or fields of study.
Look for Achievements: Instruct the AI to look for specific accomplishments that demonstrate success in previous roles.
Example:
Evaluate the resume based on the following criteria:
At least 4 years of experience in media buying, with a focus on digital platforms.
Demonstrated experience with programmatic advertising tools (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk).
Track record of managing budgets of $500,000 or more annually.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
Look for evidence of data-driven decision making and analytical skills.
Prefer candidates with experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
Remember, the AI will follow your instructions precisely, so be as detailed and specific as possible to get the most accurate evaluation of candidates' resumes.
Review your job posting before saving your job. This will take you back to your jobs dashboard.
